  • Academy to host German Youth Orchestra

    Concert in Sheffield Cathedral: Friday 1st May 7.30 p.m.

    Sinfonieorchester am Ernst-Barlach-Gymnasium, Kiel

    Sibelius: "Finlandia"
    Tschaikowsky: violin concerto (soloist Orlando Fellows)
    Samuel Wesley:     Symphony nr 2 in d major
    Guilmant: "Final alla Schumann" opus 83 for organ and orchestra (organ solo:sebastian Klingenberg)

    Admission free !!!!

    Members of the Orchestra will visit the Academy on Saturday 2nd May in the morning to see what we do, and to possibly share in a lunch time concert.
